2,086 Units Collected During Banwarilal Soti’s 50th Service Year Celebration
Kolkata, June 22 – A record-breaking blood donation camp was organized at Binani Bhavan, marking the 50 years of service of social icon Banwarilal Soti.
- 2,086 units of blood were collected – a new milestone.
- Over 2,400 registered donors, many turned away due to limited resources.
- Minister Dr. Shashi Panja hailed it as a Mahayagya to save 6,100 lives.
- Debashish Kumar praised the scale of the camp; also honored for renaming CIT Park to Parshuram Udyan.
- Camp inaugurated by social worker Amit Sharma.
- Support poured in from former MLAs, councillors, and various spiritual leaders.
- Organizations like:
Rakhtveer, Vipra Foundation, Khandal Vipra Trust, Rawatpura Bhakt Mandal, Rajasthan Brahmin Sangh, Akanksha, and others played key roles.
- Blood collection managed by the Indian Army, West Bengal Government, and eight blood banks.
Durga Vyas, President of Rajasthan Brahmin Sangh, thanked all donors, partners, and volunteers.
